Sarah Palin must find the Yellow Brick Road

This year's 2022 mid term election seemed to attract two "has been" politicians. In Maine, the former governor Paul Lepage, a Tea Party Republican, tried and failed to defeat the popular current Governor Janet Mills. His delusion was that, somehow, his old best friend Trump would help him to win re-election after a four year hiatus.  Likewise, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and a once upon a time Tea Party Vice-Presidential candidate was under the impression that two failed positions (she resigned as Alaska's governor before completing her term) would lead to "third time's a charm".

Although politicians like Mr. LePage and Ms. Palin sometimes have "nine lives", these two right wing Trumpsters seem to be particularly vulnerable to the "has been" libel.

Sarah Palin had a Trumpzi delusion!

Echo report by NPR: JUNEAU, Alaska — U.S. Rep. Mary Peltola has been elected to a full term in the House, months after the Alaska Democrat won a special election to the seat following the death earlier this year of longtime Republican Rep. Don Young.

So long Sarah! Say Goodbye!
When are you gonna come down? When are you going to land? You should have stayed on the farm,You should have listened to the old man!
So goodbye yellow brick road,
Where the dogs of society howl,
You can't plant Trump in your penthouse,
So, go back to your old plough.

Peltola defeated Republicans Sarah Palin and Nick Begich, as well as Libertarian Chris Bye in the Nov. 8 election. Results of the ranked choice election were announced Wednesday. Palin and Begich also were candidates in the special election.

"It's a two-year contract," Peltola told the Anchorage Daily News after her victory — a 55%-45% margin over Palin in the final tabulation round — was announced. "I will be happy to work for Alaskans again, as long as they'll have me."

Peltola, who is Yup'ik, with her win in August became the first Alaska Native to serve in Congress and the first woman to hold Alaska's House seat. The win also buoyed her fundraising, outpacing those of her rivals in the lead-up to this month's election.

Messages were sent to Palin's campaign Wednesday.
